KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing cost estimates for quotes for new products: calculating costs of materials, labour and other resources, verifying and challenging assumptions in terms of material usage, scrap levels, process and labour times, freight, etc.;
- Close cooperation with the project team: Project Manager, Sales, Procurement, R&D, Engineering and Operations departments in order to obtain information necessary to prepare reliable quotes;
- Product cost analysis (trend, comparative, pre and post-implementation) and providing business with insights on costs and potential efficiencies;
- Supporting business in evaluating impact of margin enhancing initiatives – process/design changes;
- Contributing to development of product profitability analysis based on actual costs;
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting cycles;
- Participation in month end closing and reporting process;
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or statistics;
- 5+ years of professional experience working in controlling role (automotive industry and international environment an advantage);
- Solid analytical skills – passion for numbers and competence in working with large data sets;
- Strong communication skills – communicating effectively with Project Manager, project team and supporting departments;
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Experience with ERP systems (Axapta an advantage);
- Fluent English;
- Curiosity.
