YOUR TASKS:

  • Comprehensive management of the whole accounting scope for German group entities in accordance with the HGB (local GAAP), IFRS and group rules
  • Implementation and execution of daily accounting operations, including incoming invoice posting, settlement of liabilities and receivables
  • Fixed Assets maintenance (Fixed assets creation, disposal, scrapping, depreciation run, reconciliation)
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Handle monthly closings, prepare month-end journal entries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Work with the finance team to streamline monthly closing procedures
  • Meet pre-determined deadlines
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
  • Responsibility for IC tax settlements (VAT)
  • Handling local financial audits and internal controls, providing required documentation,
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and internal and external standards
  • Financial and accounting advice for other departments, participation in optimization projects
  • Ad hoc reporting for business units’ managers and senior management
  • Other accounting tasks as assigned

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

  • Higher education in the finance field (finance, accounting economics)
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting area (experience in an international company is welcome)
  • Practical knowledge of the accounting, proven experience in VAT compliance and monthly financial closings preferably for German entities
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, analytical approach
  • Knowledge of English enabling a communication in an international environment
  • Knowledge of German enabling the work with the German documentation and the cooperation with local German departments
  • Proactivity, ability to work in a team and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to harmonize and to optimize accounting processes
  • Experience in working with the Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations software is welcome
  • Ability to act and to operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish tasks
